After 17 years in project management and sales in the building industry, Ray made the move to real estate in 1998. A natural salesman, Ray won an award in his first year, making it into the top 100 sales performers in Australia. In 2006, after only seven years, Ray was ready to establish his own real estate agency, Ray Donovan Real Estate.

Five years on, Director Ray Donovan expanded the agency and was joined by daughter Georgia, who took over the management of the Mount Evelyn office.

The business is based in Mount Evelyn, but Ray and Georgia do not restrict themselves just to this area. Ray Donovan Real Estate currently manage in excess of 30 properties.

Georgia joined the family real estate business in September 2010, to manage administration and Property Management.

Before joining the family business, she spent a year in 2006 in Norway through Rotary and after that, worked for the Shire of Yarra Ranges, and WinHort (Women in Horticulture) working in Bushfire Recovery. Georgia is a member of TBP Womens Business Alliance and Mount Evelyn Women in Business.

Georgia is about to complete Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) and is also studying Small Business at Swinburne and taking short courses in communication skills, book keeping, finance and budgeting.
